Technology has always been the forerunner of changes that shape the way we do things! In most cases Technology results in improvement of our businesses. But this will be true only if we have a sound Business Philosophy and that Philosophy does not change even if the Technology wanes as time passes.
I have read recently a short article that discussed briefly the importance of good Business Philosophy strengthened by Technology. I quote hereunder this article written by Mark Anthony L. Marcos, a Junior Staff Member that won first prize in the Essay Writing Contest sponsored by Diaz Murillo Dalupan and Company (DMDC) during the firms 45th Anniversary recently.
In this ever-changing world where we belong, technology has played a vital role in almost all aspects of our lives, and in the way we do things. Its fast-paced movement has paved the way for new developments in the various fields of business and industry. For the past forty-five years, DMDC has gone through and availed of a lot of technological changes such as: from bulky typewriters to modern computers. As any other professional service organization, we availed of the advancements to create new and innovative ways of providing A-1 services to our firms clients.
Through decades of serving a broad spectrum of clients large and small companies who are engaged in myriad fields of business activities, DMDC has developed special expertise in varied areas of businesses. The expertise, coupled with sound Business Philosophy contributed to the attainment of the firms and its clients economic and social goals.
The available technological means, which are at the firms disposal, is just a tool a tool used to serve the firms objectives, to render world-class quality services. The business philosophy of the firm, together with its management, operating style, and core values, are far more priceless than any computer software or fancy laptops. High-end equipment, hardware and other computer gizmos wane in value as time passes, but sound Business Philosophy and core values, on the other hand, will endure the passage of time.
Change, in any way we put it, is inevitable. Technology is just another manifestation of change. Let us not forget, that people, are the real force behind any form of technology. Technology, after all, is for human utilization and disposal. In the forty-fifth anniversary of the firm, it is evident that it has managed to develop, train, and enhance the different abilities of its staff and employees.
It is resilient in facing and adopting any form of change in its business environment, and in its particular industry as a whole. Furthermore, the firm also instilled the timeless values of hard work, loyalty, competence and resiliency. Definitely these values can withstand any shift in technology.
May these core values be always present in our hearts and minds. Happy forty-fifth anniversary to all!
We hope that the thoughts expressed in the above, short as it is, would serve as guide to businesses that are aiming to remain or to be the Best in its field of endeavor.
